Cameroon wins Under 17 UNNIFAC tournament in Equatorial Guinea

The under 17 selection of Cameroon have been crowned champions of the 2018 UNNIFAC tournament in Equatorial Guinea-Malabo.

The baby Lions edged Congo by 3 goals to 1 in the final thanks to goals from Ben Hamed Ndongo,Alioum Moubarak and an own goal from Peya to seal a perfect tournament for the boys of coach Thomas Libih.
The win for Cameroon means the team lead by goalkeeping captain Ekoe Manfred of Best Stars Academy of Limbe end the 4 games tournament with a defeat,scored 17 goals and conceded 5 goals.

The win over Congo is more than just a trophy success,it gives Cameroon a ticket to the 2019 Under 17 AFCON in Tanzania.
The Cameroon delegation will equally leave Malabo with the player of the tournament award won by Alioum Moubarak and the top scorer award won by Mvoue Steve for registering his name on the score sheet on 4 occasions in the course of the tournament.
Coach Thomas Libih is steadily writing his story and passing every test he has been put through with the under 17 team of Cameroon and as a result making a strong case for himself as the best option in bringing out the best from these young lads
