Colombe of Dja appoints former Bamboutos coach as head coach

After over a month without a coach,the lone representative of the south region in the MTN elite one championship,Colombe of Dja and Lobo have this Tuesday named former Astres and AS Matelots boss Albert Charlemagne Mbongo as their new coach for the rest of the 2018 season.
Albert Charlemagne Mbongo who’s longest coaching spell with a single club lasted 3 season’s at Astres of Douala between 2015 – 2017 after he was brought in to replace Richard Towa(now head coach of Dragon of Yaoundé) started the 2018 football season as head coach of Bamboutos FC but was replaced by Anicet Mbarga Foe after he oversaw the club in 10 games,won 3 lost 3 and recorded 4 draws.
Charlemagne Mbongo who occupied the role of the technical director temporarily at Bamboutos now joins a Colombe side in desperate need of Salvation.
Sources close to the club say Charlemagne is expected in the South region(Sangmelima) this weekend to finalize paper works and commence work on Monday.
Colombe Dja is currently ranked 16th in the 18 clubs league standings with 15 points after 3 wins 6 draws and 8 defeats in 17 games.
The former Astres Boss(Charlemagne Mbongo) is expected to do what the current Astres Boss(Nankam Olivier) did at Colombe last season to keep the club in the championship come the end of the season after a good run.
Mbongo a coach whose Bamboutos who conceded just 4 goals and scored 10 goals in 10 games earlier this season will count on the defensive know-how of intermediate Lion, Banga Solomon Bienvenue(club captain) and the fine form of Rostand Kako(club top scorer with 4 goals in 6 games) to meet the club dreams this season.
The second round of the championship begins on the 13th of may 2018 with Colombe’s second outing being a trip to Garoua to face table toppers and the former club of Rostand Kako.Kako first starred for Cotonsport of Garoua before heading abroad.
Earlier this season a Charlemagne Mbongo lead Bamboutos held Cotonsport to a 1 all draw in Limbe.
