Cameroon’s football: Akoti Rene Mukete,YOSA’s next best product


22 year old Akoti Rene Mukete has been one of the bright lights of an already bright 2018 MTN elite one season for YOSA of Bamenda.
Talk about a player that has been transformed to a match winner for YOSA this season and Akoti’s name immediately comes to mind.
The former Best Stars Academy and Dragon Yaoundé forward has been on a steady improvement in form since he moved to Bamenda from Dragon Yaoundé.
The little magician has been a regular this season for Doumbe Bosso providing 4 assists (The most for any YOSA player) amongst which include winning a Konyuy Jude converted penalty in Bamenda against Feutcheu FC,a missed penalty in Yaounde against Colombe.
The little winger’s mesmerizing skills in the right side of the attack line alongside his dead ball execution skills caused defenders endless suffering for defenders in the first round of the MTN elite one championship.
A former team mate of his, Mbem Leopold described him after his display against Mbem’s current club UMS of Loum as a magician.Mbem confessed off record that he didn’t believe it was the Mukete that he once watched at YOSA’s feeder team National Polytechnic of Bambui.
little Akoti who has been named in the LFPC team of the week once this season is still to score but if the young lad maintain his work rate in the second round of this championship then opposing defenders will have a “hot potato to handle whenever they come up against him.
YOSA travel to Yaounde on the 13th of may to confront relegation threatened YAFOOT FC with a record of 1 defeat in 4 games in Yaoundé this season waiting to be improved.
Rene will certainly be extra motivated returning to the city he once called home.
