MTN elite two championship: Busy but barren big names in the Canon vs PWD clash plus MTN Elite two match day 11 details.

As perceived before the start of the season, thid seaon’s MTN elite two championship is turning out to be the most exciting in years.
With the old school clubs only good enough for the second tier of Cameroon football nowadays,Racing Bafoussam,TKC,Canon,PWD,Dynamo and robbing shoulders with the new breed of good clubs in Bang Bullets,Lion Blesse and what have you.”Setting the Cats amongst the Pigeons” obviously makes anything is possible.

The 7 matches played over 2 days for match day 11 produced 10 goals with the Avion’s home game in Buea producing the highest number of goals.
3 clubs won at home(NPB,Avion Nkam,Panthere sportive of Nde) while Lion Blesse with mask man Anaba Patrick Metogo defeating divided and struggling Dynamo
to pick up the only away win in Edea.
The other 3 games including the top of the table clash ended in a draw.

As it has always been the case,3 clubs will be promoted to the first tier of Cameroon football come the end of the season with the deciding factor being the number of points accumulated over the course of the season.
Canon and PWD fought each other to a stand still at the Odza neighborhood in Yaoundé,with both teams impressive in a busy but barren game void of goals.
PWD Bamenda came into the game confident after picking up 4 points in their last 2 games in the center region knowing how important it was to protect their unbeaten start of the season against table topping Canon.
But disappointingly for the neutrals and fans of both teams the game which had forwards with 18 goals(PWD’s Dhobit Clovis on 4 goals, John Paul with 3 goals plus Canon’s Kunde Emmanuel Jnr on 5 goals and Brice Sindjo on 6 goals) to their name could not produce goals.
Both teams failed to score and PWD left Odza with a point and maintain their record as the only unbeaten elite club this season while Canon maintain her position table topping position.
3rd place Lion Blesse of Fortuni on a mission to go back to where they are coming from, punished Dynamo to a 2 nil defeat.
Another side of the story this match day is about Avion’s home form,the boys of Coach Ina Ngassa won their 4th in 4 home games this season. Captain
Georges Bikele’s mates have scored 10 and concede 1 goal in that process.just Dynamo has known the joy of a goal this season in Buea as a visitors.
PWD have kept 5 clean sheets this season.
The league’s leading scorers, Anaba Metogo of Lion Blesse, Brice Sindjo and Kunde Emmanuel of Canon,Dhobit Clovis failed to score in this match day only Aime Mangolo of Avion did his usual.
For Historic club Racing,Dynamo and Panthere it has been a slow start same to National polytechnic and Ngaoundere University.
Nevertheless Fascinating football season so far.

Since the kick-off of the country’s MTN Elite One football on February 10, passionate football fans are filled with excitement as they welcome the new season. With new players, new kits, new sponsors, new managers and perhaps some new fans, games played from Day 1 to 3 gave us 46 goals and also some surprising results. As is the case in the game of football, history has been made and remade since the beginning of the championship. 22 year old Akoti Rene Mukete has been one of the bright lights of an already bright 2018 MTN elite one season for YOSA of Bamenda. Talk about a player that has been transformed to a match winner for YOSA this season and Akoti’s name immediately comes to mind. The former Best Stars Academy and Dragon Yaoundé forward has been on a steady improvement in form since he moved to Bamenda from Dragon Yaoundé. The little magician has been a regular this season for Doumbe Bosso providing 4 assists (The most for any YOSA player) amongst which include winning a Konyuy Jude converted penalty in Bamenda against Feutcheu FC,a missed penalty in Yaounde against Colombe.
