Cameroon forward celebrates new club contract with goal
22 year old Cameroon China based Cameroon forward, Christian M. Bassogog is having the time of his life in football.
Fresh from scoring his first brace for the national team of Cameroon last Sunday, the young dribble master returned to his Chinese club Hernan Jianye this week and signed a new contract on Friday to keep him at the club till June 2020.
24 hours later Basoggog scored the lone goal for Hernan Jianye to salvage a point at home to visiting Dalang Yifang, canceling Dalang’s lead handed them by former Athletico Madrid man Yannick Cedric Carrasco.
The goal was the forward’s first this season after his impressive return last term.
Bassogog starred for Cameroon in the 2017 AFCON as he helped his Country win it’s 5th AFCON title in Gabon but came under huge criticism from local media when he kept aside his status as the best player of the tournament to move to China amidst speculation linking him to clubs in Europe.
After scoring 1 goal in 4 games this season his employers surely expect more from him in the next 2 season’s.
For Christian Bassogog, the last week of the month of March has certainly been a great one as he scored his first brace in the colours of Cameroon on the 25/03/2018,got a new contract with his club on the 29/03/2018 and scored his first goal of the season on the 31/03/2018.
How the former Lion Blesse of Fortuni man will love the rest of the year and season to be as sweet as the last week of the month of March ahead of the June 2019 AFCON in Cameroon.
