Match day 5 of the MTN elite one championship produced a surprised as table toppers after match day 4,Feutcheu FC suffered their first defeat against Young and poisonous USD.

They were 3 home wins(AS FORTUNA, YOSA, NEW STARS),3 away wins(UMS won in Yaoundé, Same to Colombe and USD in Limbe). 3 games ended in a parity score.
Cotonsport remains the league’s best scorers with 7 goals 5 of which have been scores by attacking duo Marius Mouadibaldji and Kamilou Daouda. They didn’t score in match day 5,the second game running.
YOSA have the league best back four and goalkeeper. The club have not conceded a goal in over 7 hours 30 minutes of football this season.
Aigle Royal have the most unproductive attacking department this season. El pacha have not scored in 5 games so far this season.

A streak of 6 decisive saves from former YOSA goalkeeper Herman Talla of Aigle Royal helped the Menoua club to win a point at home.Talla has kept clean sheets in his last 3 games.
Aigle Royal is the only team this season still to score a league goal this season and obviously still looking for a win.
Aigle will be in Yaoundé on Wednesday to face Confident Colombe.
AS FORTUNA 1⃣-0⃣ BAMBOUTOS OF MBOUDA
The Lone goal of the game was scored by AS FORTUNA’s “Angel” GABRIEL APPOLONAIRE KACK KACK.
After Starring in AS Fortuna’s 1 nil win over Cotonsport the midfield boss was once again bossy as the boys of coach Max Raymond Makongo Makongo registered their second consecutive clean sheet.
The goal from Gabriel A.Kack Kack was the first goal against Bamboutos FC this season in 5 games(Over 6 hours of play without conceding came to an end in Yaoundé)
Bamboutos have now failed to scored in her last four games this season. Only 21 year old Congolese defender Le Blanc Minkala and 18 year old attacking midfielder Rene Ndi, have scored this season for Coach Albert Charlemagne Mbongo.

Cedric Djeugoue scored his first goal for UMS of Loum and Victus Amougui got the other goal
UMS of Loum finally got her first win in 3 trips to Yaoundé this season. It was the second time boys of Dieudonne Nke won a game by a two goal margin(the other at home to Aigle in match day 2).
UMS is now the second team to win two games by a 2 goal margin this season. The other is Unisport of Haut Nkam.
UMS of Loum will be at their fortress in Loum to wait for fierce Rivals Stade Renard of Melong. A defeat in that game for either is the last thing a manager will accept.A littoral(Loum vs Melong) and mayor(Pierre Kwemo vs Jean Kuete) derby
NEW STARS OF DOUALA 2⃣-1⃣ STADE RENARD OF MELONG
Alain Roland Nanjou Nganle and Aime Djicka Gassisou scored for New Stars at 33rd and 42nd mins respectively. The second goal for New Stars was a controversial penalty awarded them. The lone goal for Stade Renard was scored by Girese Tamo Tinwo at the 30th minute of play.Tamo has scored 3 goals now all against Douala clubs after his brace in match day 1 against USD.
Former Astres man Aime Djicka Gassisou join New Stars this week and got a goal in his debut.
It was Stade Renard 3rd defeat in a season they were once leaders in what looks like long time ago now.

Winger Christian Djumo gave Fovu of Baham the lead before 19 years old CHRISTIAN NGUIDJOL BAYEMI equalised from the penalty spot just like the case in the midweek draw against Astres FC.
Christian Nguidjol Bayemi has scored all of Eding’s FC 5 league goals this season.He has started 2 of Eding’s 4 league games this season and 3 of his 5 goals have come from the penalty spot.
Defending champions Eding FC of Lekie have a game in hand and are unbeaten this so far this season.

Winger NKWENTI FESTUS scored YOSA’s lone goal from the penalty spot to give the Bamenda based club the second win of the season. YOSA is still to pick the ball from the back of their net this season. New goalkeeper ADOUM DEFFALLAH has been working wonders between the sticks with 5 clean sheets in 5 games.Safe hands.
Fresh from their first home win of the season, YOSA will stay in Bamenda and wait for Dragon. Dragon of Richard Towa now have their backs on wall after a streak of 3 defeats.
DRAGON 0⃣-1⃣ COLOMBE DJA
Colombe’s lone goal was scored by New signing from Aigle Royal of Menoua, BISSEMOU RAPHAEL.
The goal and defensive solidity of Colombe provided enough to give the South region’s elite one club their first league one win since September 2017 when the club defeated now relegated Canon Yaoundé.
FEUTCHEU 0⃣-2⃣ UNION SPORTIVE DOUALA
FRANK CEDRIC ABOGO scored Union’s opener after just 1 minute and 50 seconds after kick off.A training exercise dead ball was rule kindly to Abogo by Togolese SERGE SEKOU ATSOU for Abogo set USD on their way to victory.The second goal came at the 92nd when the Feutcheu FC back line was sliced open by a through ball to substitute ELIEZER KAMI NYABEYE who slotted it to the bottom corner of goalkeeper Sadjio Eric’s net.

Union of Douala are closing in on the signing of Cameroonian keeper Lawrence Ngomè from AC Léopards Dolisie in Congo Brazaville. Lawrence Ngomè won three Congo Brazzaville football championships with AC Léopards Dolisie during his spell there.
