Former TKC and Canon Star has been Appointed Cotonsport Boss

56 year old former indomitable Lion, Bertin Ebwelle Ndinge one time player of TKC, CNPS Yaoundé, Olympique de Mvolye,Canon Yaounde, PSPS in Indonesia amongst many other clubs has reached an agreement today to replace Minkro Birwe as head coach of 14 times champions of Cameroon Cotonsport of Garoua.
Sources close to Cotonsport told this reporter just after midday this Tuesday that the club have reached an agreement to bring the former national team coach for the under 15,Under 17,20 and military Lions to Garoua.
Ebwelle who began his coaching career in 2000 at former club PSPS in Indonesia before returning home in 2002 to manage second tier side Colombe of Dja for 2 seasons.Ebwelle move abroad in 2004 to work with Equatorial Guinean side Renacimento FC for two seasons before returning home again in 2005 and have since then trained Tiko united, Canon Yaoundé,Colombe of Dja.
A successful footballer with the Cameroon national selection who won 69 caps participating in 2 AFCON final matches with a win in 1988 after the 1986 defeat.Quarter finalist in the 1990 world cup plus 4 times winner of the cup of Cameroon and 3 times champions of Cameroon,he arrives Garoua with a huge profile.
Joining a side that has to many underachieved in the last 2 seasons and nurse ambition to win a double is certainly a big one for the club and the coach.
Cotonsport is currently ranked 4th in the MTN elite one table with 12 points after 7 games and the coach has as minimum expectation to qualify the team for Continental Competition next season.
Cotonsport under interim boss Christophe Oumarou picked up 7 points in their last 3 games and Ebwelle’s first major challenge comes up this Sunday when Cotonsport welcome struggling New Stars of Douala to Garoua.

Since the kick-off of the country’s MTN Elite One football on February 10, passionate football fans are filled with excitement as they welcome the new season. 22 year old Akoti Rene Mukete has been one of the bright lights of an already bright 2018 MTN elite one season for YOSA of Bamenda. Talk about a player that has been transformed to a match winner for YOSA this season and Akoti’s name immediately comes to mind. The former Best Stars Academy and Dragon Yaoundé forward has been on a steady improvement in form since he moved to Bamenda from Dragon Yaoundé. The little magician has been a regular this season for Doumbe Bosso providing 4 assists (The most for any YOSA player) amongst which include winning a Konyuy Jude converted penalty in Bamenda against Feutcheu FC,a missed penalty in Yaounde against Colombe.
