Cameroon: Coach Sogba Oumarou has been rewarded with a one year contrat at APEJES

The Young but Brilliant coach Apejes of Mfou, HERMAN OUMAROU SOGBA has been confirmed as the man to lead the Mfou based club next season.
This came after a meeting chaired by by the club president LEON AIME NZANG in Yaounde on the 2nd January 2018.
Apejes ended the league last season in the 3rd spot, 8 places better than the 11th place achieved in 2016.
Though Apejes failed to defend the cup Cameroon title won in 2016 after been eliminated in the 16th finals by eventual winners New Stars of Douala.
A report card Leon Aime Nzang is impressed with and has appreciated it with a new contract.Speaking to this reporter, the coach confessed his satisfaction to be at the helm of the club’s technical bench next season just like all members of the technical staff(unchanged for the 6 seasons).
Oumarou Sogba has been consistent in graduating excellently groomed youths to the senior team with success of the likes of Acha LeonardSamuel Oum Gwet and Frank Boya (all foreign based now)all his handiwork.
The master tactician started training Apejes in the 2009/2010 season and succeeded in helping the club gain promotion to elite one. In his 7 years in charge he has guided the club to the cup of Cameroon trophy back in 2016. Going into Apejes’ 4th elite one campaign, the president has challenged Sogba and other members of the technical staff to bring out the best in the players, with hopes to better last season’s performance.
Apejes has promoted 4 youths to the senior team ahead of next season and recruited last season’s top scorer FRANCIS ELIMBI who is 22 from Aigle, OTTOU ANDRE HERVE from Racing aged 29, plus 18 year old striker/winger KEKOH from FOVU Baham and 20 year old short stopper KUIPOU from TKC Yaounde.
A perfect examination of the New recruits highlights the club interest in youths development.
In a related development Cameroon professional league officials have confirmed to us that except something extra ordinary happens, elite one and two championships will begin on the 20/01/2018 and urges the professional league family to wait patiently as the calendar will be published at least a week before kick off date .Some Club’s actors on their part have hinted their clubs are still to receive the seasonal aid which assist them in financing the running of their clubs.
