APEJES of Mfou have secured the services of MTN Elite One Top Scorer
After months of speculation and anticipation,Last season’s MTN Elite one top scoring cameroonian, Francis Maximilan Elimbi has this afternoon joined Apejes of Mfou from Aigle Royal of Menoua on a 1 year deal.
The 22-year-old Elimbi(Elimbut) scored 19 goals for Aigle(El Pacha) in 34 games season last term leaving him as the league co-top scorer alongside Niger international Daouda Kamilou.
The striker whose stock has risen tremendously within the last football year, leaves El Pacha as a true servant.
He scored 24 goals in two campaigns and equally made his international debut with the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon(Against Equatorial Guinea) while he was in Dschang.
After months of negotiation Apejes’ president(Leon Aime Nzang) offered a cheque of FCFA 2 500 000 to newly elected president of Aigle Samuel Dongmo to secure the signature of the forward.
Elimbi will wear the jersey of just the 3rd elite club after stints at Bamboutos and Aigle where he spent last season.
Two season’s ago Platini Kaham was the top scorer in the Elite One championship while he was at Lion Blesse but last season Elimbi rose high to inherit the top scorer crown.
The Menoua public will certainly miss Elimbi for his goals. The striker scored 19 of the club’s 25 league goals last season.
He will partner his international colleague Messi Boulit at Apejes under the young but master tactical coach Oumaro Sogba.
But before that Elimbi have as first task to make Cameroon’s CHAN team, get to Morroco and fry the defenders him ahead of the New season in Cameroon.
